Dress Code
We expect each student to dress athletically. Dressing warmly
with a jacket/long sleeves and gloves is recommended. Long
hair should be pulled back and not blocking your view of the
ice surface and other skaters on the rink. Helmets are recommended
for beginning young skaters (tots).
Please do not wear jeans, scarves, eye glasses, chew gum
or eat candy, etc.
Location
We coach at Ice
Sports Kansas City on Johnson Drive in Shawnee.
What We Expect
We expect students to be properly dressed for athletic activity.
Long hair should be pulled back and out of the eyes. We highly
recommend coming to the rink 20 minutes before your lesson
time to properly warm up and get your skates on so we can
get to work right away. Bringing a bottle of water is recommended
to keep you hydrated during your lesson. The rink does have
water fountains, but bottles are preferred so you can stay
on the ice and quickly get back into your lesson.
Each student is expected to pay attention and work hard during
their lesson.
Lesson Cancellation and Rescheduling
To cancel your lesson for any reason, a courtesy call is expected
24 hours in advance of your lesson. You may reschedule at
this time.
If you need to cancel the day of your lesson because of an
emergency, please call
us right away. If you can’t get a hold of us, please
leave a voice message and we will
get back to you as soon as we can to reschedule.
If you neglect to inform us of a lesson cancellation you
will be charged the regular
fee for that lesson time. Do not e-mail if you will not be
able to make it to your lesson. You must call us.
